At the Center for Digital Education of Children “IT-Kub.Kanash” the first two-week shift of summer educational online intensives has come to an end, in which more than 90 schoolchildren aged 7 to 16 participated. Participation in the event is free and available to every student of the Chuvash Republic. 

Distance classes were organized for the children of the elementary school, where they got acquainted with Scratch-programming, digital LEGO-modeling technologies. High school students took an introductory course in programming, 3D modeling and the basics of information security.

The distance learning format in the online format made it possible to acquaint not only schoolchildren of Kanash and Kanashsky district with the world of information technology, but also children from the cities of Cheboksary, Novocheboksarsk and Alatyr.

The digital education center “IT-kub.Kanash” in the Chuvash Republic was opened in 2019 as part of the federal project “Digital educational environment” of the national project “Education”. The center is equipped with computers, laptops, virtual and augmented reality helmets, sets of basic and industrial robotics, and specialized equipment. 865 schoolchildren and students from 61 regions of Russia and eight foreign countries took part in the online challenge of the Circle Movement of the National Technology Initiative and Wargaming to develop game projects. Ten teams of schoolchildren and students who became winners of the first stage created prototypes of mobile games that touch on modern problems. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia.

Teams from Moscow, Sevastopol, Barnaul, Perm, Petrozavodsk, Kiev, Chelyabinsk, Ufa were recognized as the best.

The participants in the first training track were tasked with developing a mobile game in the most developing game genre now – hypercasual. These are games without a complex plot, with the simplest controls and a clear goal. At the same time, the teams underwent an educational program: they studied game design, programming, analytics, monetization and other areas. Major representatives of the gaming industry worked with them, including Wargaming, Pixonic, Azur Games, Kefir Studio, DevToDev, OWL Stidio.

The guys presented puzzles, platformers, strategies that offer different role models for players and draw attention to topical issues in education, ecology and society.

In the next two months, the winning teams, led by experts from the gaming industry, will refine their projects into full-fledged games. As a result of the GameNet Challenge, several games will enter the market of the National Technology Initiative – GameNet NTI, and their developers will cooperate with leading companies in the gaming industry. The NTI circle movement is an all-Russian community of technology enthusiasts. The goal of the Circle movement is to form the next generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, managers, capable of conceiving and implementing projects, creating new solutions and technology companies aimed at developing Russia and the whole world. To achieve this goal, the roadmap of the National Technological Initiative “Circle Movement” was approved. The tasks of the NTI are integrated into the national project “Science”.

Among the initiatives of the Circle movement are the first team engineering competitions for schoolchildren and students “NTI Olympiad”, project schools and hackathons “Practices of the Future”, the all-Russian action “NTI Lesson”, the system of mass training, certification and employment of mentors of youth projects “Academy of Mentors”, festivals ideas and technologies RUKAMI, a digital talent management platform, the Centaur program for collaborative learning technologies for humans and artificial intelligence, and other projects.

The online project “Trans-Baikal Vacations” covered more than five thousand children from all regions of the region. The shift programs were aimed at the self-development of children, their career guidance, and the acquisition of new skills.

“In the program, we involve teachers of regional and municipal centers of additional education. I will note that colleagues from Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Serov also joined them. It is gratifying that our project allows us to establish interaction and broadcast experience for teachers from other regions. The project includes master classes from teachers, online games, video communication and other events. More than 150 video lessons have been developed in various areas of additional education, ”said Natalya Byankina, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

During online shifts, schoolchildren register on the project website, the organizers distribute them to virtual teams. For the first time in the region, online counselors appeared who play and communicate with children, organize master classes and concerts via video communication. The organizer of the regional project is the Ministry of Education of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The operator of the project is the Educational Children and Youth Center of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The partners were the Iskra Youth Center, the Center for Children and Youth Technical Creativity, the State Educational Institution of Education “ZDYUTS Olympian”, the Trans-Baikal Children’s and Youth Center “ZabDYUTS”, the Trans-Baikal Center for Physical Culture and Sports, the Trans-Baikal branch of the Russian movement of schoolchildren.  

In the Volgograd region, a project for early career guidance of schoolchildren “Ticket to the Future” is being launched. A corresponding agreement was signed between the regional Committee for Education, Science and Youth Policy and the Union “Agency for the Development of Professional Communities and Workers” Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia). The project starts in July.

The regional operator of the “Ticket to the Future” project is the Volgograd College of Economics and Technology.

The “Ticket to the Future” project is being implemented by the Union “Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)” on the basis of the list of instructions of the President of Russia dated February 23, 2018 following the meeting with the participants of the All-Russian Forum “Mentor” and passports of the federal project “Success of every child” of the national project “Education “.

The project consists of three stages: vocational guidance diagnostics on a digital platform, practical events in various formats and the issuance of individual recommendations for building an educational trajectory. According to the results of the competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation among secondary vocational schools, three colleges of Yakutia received grants from the federal budget: Yakutsk College of Energy and Communications named after P.I. Dudkin, Pokrovsky College and Yakutsk Industrial Pedagogical College.

The total amount of funds allocated within the framework of the federal project “Young Professionals” of the national project “Education” amounted to 103 million 750 thousand rubles. 

The Minister of Education and Science of Yakutia, Mikhail Sivtsev, stressed that a new stage begins, requiring a change in the approaches to training highly qualified specialists. 

“It is gratifying that thanks to the implementation of federal projects, we receive modern equipment and students have the opportunity to master their practical skills at a high level. Therefore, such equipment is necessary. I always say that education is a locomotive of economic development, therefore, great attention is paid by the Government of the republic, ”the minister emphasized.
